How To

How to Repair a Damaged Motor on a Drone

It is important to first identify which motor part is damaged before you can repair it. The easiest way to do this is to remove the propeller from the motor shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If you see something wrong, then you know what part of the motor you have to fix.

If the motor has not been damaged, it is safe to fly again.

Imagine that the motor has become bent to the point it will not turn. To get the motor to turn again, you'll need to bend it. To hold the motor, use a vice grip or pair of pliers. After you have completed this step, be sure to inspect the motor for any signs of wear.

Once everything looks good, you can put the propeller back on the motor shaft. Then, reattach the wires. Now your drone is ready to fly!
