You should be aware of the following guidelines if you are planning to fly a drone in New Zealand for drone fishing. The law should be understood. It's illegal to fly a drone over any marine life or within 500 meters of a marine mammal. Your drone will be confiscated or damaged if you are not aware of the surroundings.

A drone's payload

A drone can be used for fishing. However, you need to consider the payload. You will need to find a drone with a payload capacity to carry heavy fish and enough endurance to fly for a long time. You won't catch enough fish if you only plan to fly your drone for a few seconds. New Zealand's drone fishing technology is improving.

How To

How to Repair a Damaged Motor on a Drone

The first step toward repairing a damaged motor is to identify what part of the motor is broken. It is easy to do this by removing the propeller shaft from the motor shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If you spot something wrong, you can identify which part of the motor needs to be fixed.

If the motor is in good condition, you shouldn't worry. But if it looks like one of the images below, you will need to replace parts before you can fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. This means that you will need to bend the motor back into shape. You could use a vice grip or a pair of pliers to hold the motor while bending it back into shape. After you're done, check your motor for signs of wear.

Once you're satisfied that everything's ok, put the propeller back onto the motor shaft and reattach the wires. You are now ready for your drone to fly.
